Entry #7 F R E S H H H ..
This film was made to put out there that there are as still effective ways of delivering new natural food in a period where most food is being efficiently manufactured by organizations in under clean ways. Fresh is a documentary that shows the different ways that our farmers transform our agriculture. Some consequences would be pollution, food contamination, obesity, depletion, and many more others. Fresh gives a new thinking about what we are and aren't eating. Changing America food system is every farmers, activists and entrepreneurs.
Something that really stood out to me was that the situation in between the worms. I were to think that if there are worms it means that the food or crops are going to grow with some sort of Nast bacteria or something like that, but it is nothing like that. In the video he states, "The worms in here breaking this down creating a wonderful bacteria turning this down creating a wonderful bacteria turning this stuff into black gold, this is our base material for growing food."
Looking at this makes me have shivers down my spine. I HATE every type of insect, even BUTTERFLIES!! In the long run worms are a great contribute to the waste. It helps build up bacteria, which them helps grow the food that is being planted. This film made me think of another documentary I watched in high school named "Super Size Me". This documentary was filmed for a whole month from February 1st to March 2nd. During the documentary Spurlock ate Mc Donalds three times per day, eating every item on the menu at LEAST once!!!
Now going back to the Fresh documentary, my opinion on this film is that it helps to remind us Americans what is in our food, what we eat, and what we don't. I believe it's helpful to make these documentaries to take in mind about the issues regarding the food we eat, and maybe next time you take a bite of something, hopefully you make good choices and keep in mind the food you eat.
